A Flixbus en route from Berlin to Zurich was involved in a fatal crash near Leipzig on the A9, claiming four lives and causing numerous injuries.

Initial reports mistakenly claimed five deaths; however, one individual remains in critical condition.

The bus carried 55 people in total; the driver at the time of the accident survived and was compliant with all driving regulations.
