The National Payments Corporation of India (NPCI) has initiated a partnership with the Indian Institute of Science (IISc) to research blockchain and AI technologies.
A new 'NPCI-IISc Centre of Excellence for Deep Tech Research & Development' will be established in Bangalore.
The collaboration will tackle technological challenges in scalability, privacy, neural networks, Graph AI, and Large Language Models.
The partnership aims to enhance the payments landscape and promote research, development, and professional growth in deep tech.
