Ukrainian President Zelensky has lowered the minimum conscription age from 27 to 25 amid the conflict with Russia.

The new conscription law is designed to bolster the Ukrainian army by including two more year groups of potential recruits.

Implementation of the law will be immediate, under the current conditions of martial law.

Zelensky has excluded women from mobilization and urged Western allies for more anti-aircraft systems in anticipation of a Russian spring or summer offensive.

The intensifying conflict has seen Ukraine counter Russian assaults and subsequent threats by Russia to intensify its military actions.

Ukraine faces a pressing need for additional military support as Russia reportedly has a substantial advantage in personnel and munitions.
