Meta-owned platforms Facebook, WhatsApp, and Instagram suffered a global outage on April 3, 2024, starting at 18:00 GMT due to issues with ads transparency tools.
The outage primarily affected business and cloud API services, alongside user-tracking ad technology.
While Facebook and WhatsApp services were largely restored by 21:00 GMT, Instagram faced prolonged issues.
