Ansel Elgort is making his professional dance debut in New York with a role in Pete Townshend's 'Quadrophenia, A Rock Ballet', scheduled to run at New York City Center from November 14-16, 2025, marking his return to the stage after a decade.

Elgort, known for 'West Side Story,' is excited to return to his roots in ballet and theatre, participating in a production inspired by The Who's 1973 rock opera, which features an orchestral version recorded by the Royal Philharmonic Orchestra.

The production, directed by Rob Ashford and choreographed by the late Paul Roberts, debuted in the UK in May 2025 and has previously been performed at Sadler's Wells Theatre and on a UK tour, with costumes designed by Paul Smith.

The show narrates the story of Jimmy, a London mod dealing with personal struggles and searching for belonging, set against a backdrop inspired by the album's exploration of Jimmy’s four facets of personality.

The cast includes Paris Fitzpatrick as Jimmy, with additional casting to be announced, and the production will be performed over four shows in New York after its successful run in London.

Tickets are now available for purchase through the New York City Center website, and the production emphasizes theatrical and musical richness through elaborate costumes, sets, and an orchestral soundtrack.
