Mosaic Brands entered voluntary administration in September 2024, accumulating debts exceeding $250 million, leading to the closure of multiple iconic brands.

Ally Fashion's downfall reflects a troubling trend in the Australian fashion sector, where several retailers are struggling amid a cost of living crisis.

Interestingly, just six days prior to its collapse, Ally Fashion was actively hiring for various roles, including store managers and sales assistants.

Ally Fashion, a prominent Australian women's clothing chain founded in 2001, has collapsed due to insolvency, affecting over 1,000 employees and up to 185 stores across the nation.

Winding up proceedings were initiated by a commercial property group specializing in retail shopping centers, with support from other creditors.

Liquidators Jeff Marsden and Duncan Clubb from BDO Sydney have been appointed to oversee the liquidation process.

The retailer had a significant presence across multiple Australian states, including Western Australia, New South Wales, Queensland, Victoria, South Australia, and the Northern Territory.
