Alan Jones, an 83-year-old former radio host, has been charged with an additional assault involving an act of indecency, bringing the total number of alleged victims to 11.

He now faces a total of 35 charges related to allegations of indecent assault and sexual touching against men from 2001 to 2019.

In December 2024, he faced additional charges of eight indecent assault offences concerning a 10th victim, with incidents reported to have occurred between 2003 and 2004.

The investigation into Jones began when NSW police established Strike Force Bonnefin in March 2024, following a major report by The Sydney Morning Herald and The Age detailing claims of his exploitation of power to target young men.

On March 7, 2025, New South Wales police announced the new charge as part of the ongoing investigation by the child abuse squad under Strike Force Bonnefin.

Jones received a Court Attendance Notice for the new assault charge and is scheduled to appear in Downing Centre Local Court on March 11, 2025.

He was excused from attending court for this upcoming hearing.

Jones has pleaded not guilty to all existing charges, claiming the allegations are baseless or distort the truth.

His previous charges include aggravated indecent acts and sexual touching without consent, linked to 10 complainants from incidents occurring between 2001 and 2019.

The youngest alleged victim was reportedly 17 years old at the time of the incidents.

Bail conditions for Jones were initially strict, requiring him to stay at a Sydney address, but were relaxed in December 2024 to allow him to stay elsewhere with prior notification to police.

The alleged offences took place at various locations in New South Wales, including his former residence in Newtown and a luxury apartment in Circular Quay.
