Metallica's highly anticipated M72 World Tour is set to perform in Toronto on April 24 and 26, 2025, featuring a series of events leading up to the concerts.

In celebration of their return, the band is hosting 'Toronto Takeover' events, including a merchandise pop-up shop at The Well, which opened on April 23 and will run until April 26.

The pop-up shop offers limited-edition items and a chance to win prizes through the #M72FanCard, with specific hours of operation throughout the week.

The M72 tour is produced by Live Nation and sponsored by inKind, a company dedicated to supporting local restaurants through innovative financing.

Fans can look forward to support acts including Pantera, Limp Bizkit, Suicidal Tendencies, and Ice Nine Kills during the North American leg of the tour.

A portion of ticket sales will benefit local charities through Metallica's All Within My Hands foundation, which has raised over $15 million for various causes since its inception.

Since launching in Amsterdam in April 2023, the M72 tour has drawn around three million fans and received critical acclaim for its performances.

Local resident Doug Brown, a devoted Metallica fan, shared his deep connection to the band, which he discovered at a young age.

On April 25, Kirk Hammett will host a live discussion at the TIFF Lightbox, coinciding with the band's preview of their latest film project at the Scotiabank Theatre.

Attending Metallica concerts is described as a communal experience that fosters a sense of family among fans, highlighting the band's unique blend of punk and metal.

The Toronto concerts will continue the No Repeat Weekend format, featuring different setlists for each night, and will include a special performance at Lane Stadium in Virginia on May 7.

Additionally, the tour will feature a festival appearance at Sonic Temple in Columbus, Ohio, on May 9 and 11, where Metallica will headline with two different sets.
