While commercial 6G networks are anticipated globally by 2030, India plans to accelerate its efforts with pilot projects and research, starting trials as early as 2027-2028.
India is preparing to launch 6G technology utilizing Terahertz frequency bands, promising speeds of up to 1 terabit per second, which is nearly 100 times faster than current 5G networks.
