Council officials described the expected attendees in unflattering terms, raising concerns about their potential impact on the Edinburgh Fringe festival.

In response, Councillor Margaret Graham defended the council's preparations, emphasizing their commitment to safety and successful event management in collaboration with local agencies.

Despite concerns about crowd behavior and intoxication, documents indicated that past Gallagher events have resulted in minimal arrests, suggesting manageable crowd dynamics.
