EasyJet has announced the launch of three new winter routes from Liverpool John Lennon Airport to Kraków, Vienna, and Almeria, set to begin later this year.

The flights to Almeria will commence on October 28, operating twice weekly on Tuesdays and Saturdays.

Ali Gayward, easyJet’s UK country manager, expressed excitement about these new routes, highlighting the enhanced connectivity and value they offer to travelers from the UK to Europe.

Paul Winfield from Liverpool John Lennon Airport noted the potential for increased capacity on the popular routes to Kraków and Vienna, which are expected to attract many tourists.

Vienna is anticipated to draw visitors for its renowned Christmas markets, while Kraków is celebrated for its rich history and cultural offerings.

This expansion at Liverpool is part of easyJet's broader growth strategy, which has seen the introduction of eight new routes over the past year, bringing the total to 37 routes across 17 countries from the airport.

The addition of an eighth Airbus A320neo aircraft at Liverpool supports this expansion, enhancing easyJet's offerings and package holidays for customers in the North West and North Wales.

These new routes are specifically designed to operate during the winter season, catering to the increased travel demand around the Christmas period.

EasyJet's entire winter flight schedule is now available for booking, reflecting the airline's strategic focus on seasonal routes.

The new routes will connect major UK airports, including London Gatwick and regional airports like Southampton and Liverpool, to popular European destinations.

Additionally, EasyJet Holidays is promoting city break packages that include flights and hotel accommodations, offering features like Ultimate Flexibility for booking changes and refunds.

Jonny Macneal, head of aviation at Edinburgh Airport, emphasized the variety of winter travel options available, appealing to both leisure and business travelers.
