To validate AEON's industrial capabilities, Hexagon is partnering with manufacturers Schaeffler and Pilatus for pilot programs in real-world production environments.

The company specializes in creating equipment and information systems for geospatial and industrial applications, focusing heavily on metrology and geospatial solutions.

The development of AEON was supported by NVIDIA's technology, utilizing three of its computers, including AI supercomputers for model training and the Omniverse for simulation.

AEON's skills are developed through simulations on the NVIDIA Isaac platform, allowing it to learn essential functions like navigation and manipulation in just two to three weeks.

The robot is equipped for autonomous scanning of parts and assembly lines, integrating physical data with digital platforms such as Hexagon's Reality Cloud Studio to enhance workflow.

Future applications for AEON include generating 3D models for industrial environments, sorting parts, inspecting for defects, and executing complex technical tasks.

AEON is expected to commence operations in live industrial settings later this year, demonstrating its capabilities to enhance the existing workforce.
