Richard Ashcroft, the lead singer of The Verve, has announced the release of his seventh solo album titled 'Lovin' You', set for October 3, 2025.

The album opens with the lead single 'Lover', which incorporates elements of Joan Armatrading's classic 'Love And Affection' and is currently receiving airplay on UK radio.

Co-produced with Chris Potter and Emre Ramazanoglu, 'Lovin' You' features a variety of musical styles, including acoustic ballads, indie rock, Americana, and soul, focusing on intimate themes of love and support.

The announcement of the album coincides with Ashcroft's upcoming tour, where he will support Oasis on their Live '25 reunion tour starting July 4, 2025, in Cardiff.

Expressing excitement for the tour, Ashcroft noted the significance of performing alongside Noel and Liam Gallagher for their first live gigs together in 16 years.

Ashcroft has a long-standing friendship with the Gallagher brothers, dating back decades, which adds depth to the upcoming tour.

With a storied career, Ashcroft has won two Ivor Novello Awards and achieved significant success with The Verve and his solo work, including multiple UK #1 albums.

This new album marks Ashcroft's first collection of new material since 2018's 'Natural Rebel', although he released 'Acoustic Hymns, Vol. 1' in 2021.

The album includes the single 'Lover', which marks Ashcroft's first original song in seven years.

The upcoming tour will feature sold-out shows across several UK and Ireland venues, including Cardiff's Principality Stadium and London's Wembley Stadium.

'Lovin' You' will be available in various formats, including standard black vinyl, CD, cassette, and digital, along with exclusive limited edition color vinyls.

Ashcroft credited the songwriting of Noel and Liam Gallagher for inspiring his own music, recalling the joy and influence of their earlier works.
