July 24, 2025
Oasis has released a new live version of their iconic song 'Cigarettes and Alcohol', recorded during their homecoming concert at Heaton Park in Manchester on July 11, 2025.
This concert was the first of five nights at Heaton Park, where the band performed to a total of 340,000 fans, with approximately 80,000 attending the opening night.
The setlist featured six songs from their 1994 debut album, Definitely Maybe, showcasing the band's classic hits.
This concert marked the third show of Oasis's reunion tour, their first since 2009, and follows a highly successful performance at Cardiff's Principality Stadium.
Following the Manchester shows, Oasis is set to perform seven sold-out shows at London's Wembley Stadium starting on July 25, 2025.
During the performance, Liam Gallagher engaged the crowd by encouraging them to perform the Poznan dance while Noel Gallagher maintained a more subdued presence.
Liam also dedicated the song 'Bring It On Down' to fans watching from a nearby viewpoint known as 'Gallagher Hill', where around 10,000 fans gathered despite warnings to stay away.
The reunion tour features a full lineup, including guitarists Paul 'Bonehead' Arthurs and Gem Archer, bassist Andy Bell, drummer Joey Waronker, and keyboardist Christian Madden.
Oasis continues to enjoy commercial success, with their compilation album 'Time Flies… 1994-2009' returning to number one on the UK Official Albums Chart.
In celebration of the 30th anniversary of '(What’s the Story) Morning Glory?', a deluxe edition will be released on October 3, 2025, along with a box set of their Complete Studio Album Collection.
While a rumored documentary about the tour is reportedly not happening, Liam Gallagher humorously commented on relationships at concerts, adding to the tour's lively atmosphere.
The live recording captures the energy of the opening night, featuring enthusiastic fans singing along and highlighting Liam Gallagher's powerful vocals.
