Greek and German police collaborated to dismantle an international cocaine trafficking ring operating across Germany, Greece, and other EU countries.

The joint operation successfully dismantled a large-scale drug cartel involved in distributing cocaine throughout Europe.

The organization was highly structured, with members assigned specific roles such as coordinating transport, recruiting drivers, and distributing drugs to end consumers.

Operations targeted affluent areas like Mykonos, which are known for wealthy drug consumers and international clientele.

During the raids, authorities seized approximately 300 kilograms of cocaine, marking a significant blow to the cartel.

Greek investigators estimate that the cartel generated over five million euros (around $5.8 million) in illegal profits before being dismantled.

During the operation, Greek authorities detained two suspects, while German police arrested three, including a 66-year-old man and two men aged 27 and 28, with other arrests involving Greek suspects aged 52 and 62.

The investigation involved cooperation between Greek, German, and US DEA authorities, with crucial leads provided by the US DEA.
