The New Orleans Saints have announced the hiring of Thomas Dimitroff, a seasoned NFL executive with nearly 30 years of experience, as a consultant to support their front office.

Dimitroff, 59, who previously served as the Falcons' general manager from 2008 to 2020, brings a wealth of experience including leading Atlanta to a Super Bowl LI appearance and earning NFL Executive of the Year twice.

His tenure with the Falcons ended after a poor start in 2020, but since then, he has been involved in private scouting, podcasting, and served as CEO of SumerSports, a football analytics company.

Joining the Saints in April 2025, Dimitroff has been working through training camp and preseason to support their football operations, aiming to bolster their talent evaluation and roster building.

The Saints are entering the 2025 season with a 'win-now' mentality despite being in a rebuilding phase, relying heavily on key players like Alvin Kamara, Chris Olave, and rookie quarterback Spencer Rattler.

He founded SumerSports, focusing on analytics-driven roster management, which aligns with the Saints' emphasis on analytics in their rebuilding efforts.
