Google is rolling out its Gemini AI assistant to Google TV, starting today on TCL’s new QM9K series TVs, with plans to expand to other devices later.

The Gemini AI can be activated via voice or a microphone button, capable of handling follow-up questions and providing detailed responses to enhance user interaction.

The new TCL QM9K series TVs feature high-end specs like 144Hz 4K QD-Mini LED panels, Dolby Vision IQ, HDR10+, and Bang & Olufsen audio, targeting consumers seeking premium displays.

These TVs include a mmWave presence sensor that enables automatic power on/off based on proximity, with future improvements aiming to utilize ambient sensors for adaptive content and automation.

The integration of Gemini AI on Google TV aims to make the platform more interactive, offering features like browsing streaming options, detailed movie info, and educational content, with more capabilities expected later in the year.
