Lexroom Raises €16.2M to Expand AI-Driven Legal Platform Across Europe
September 29, 2025
CEO Paolo Fois emphasizes that AI is transforming the legal industry, and Lexroom’s vision is to improve operational efficiency and client engagement through technological innovation.
Recognized as one of the fastest-growing startups in Italy and Europe, Lexroom is transforming a traditional industry with a product that legal professionals find valuable and enjoyable to use.
Lexroom, a Milan-based legal tech startup founded in 2023, has raised €16.2 million ($19 million) in a Series A funding round led by Base10 Partners, aiming to expand its AI platform for legal professionals across Europe.
The company, founded by Paolo Fois, Martina Domenicali, and Andrea Lonza, is focused on revolutionizing legal workflows with generative AI tailored to the legal industry.
Lexroom's AI platform supports legal research, drafting, and advisory services by utilizing highly localized legal data, making it a significant upgrade over generic AI tools.
The platform is designed to serve both solo practitioners and large corporate legal teams, with a focus on the Italian and broader EU markets, and plans to localize further for Germany and Spain.
Major clients include Osborne Clarke, Fastweb, Satispay, and Mediolanum, with around 1,500 legal professionals using the platform and nearly €1 million in recurring annual revenue.
Lexroom’s AI models are trained on proprietary legal data from multiple European countries, providing jurisdiction-specific insights that are customizable for different legal contexts.
The company is close to obtaining approval from the Italian government’s Golden Power, which will enable it to leverage funds for technological enhancements while complying with national security regulations.
The funding round also included strategic investors like Riccardo Zacconi, founder of King, whose insights support Lexroom’s growth ambitions, and other investors such as Acurio Ventures and View Different.
Post-investment, Lexroom plans to accelerate European expansion, with a focus on Germany and Spain, and aims to become a global trusted AI partner for legal professionals.
Within six months, Lexroom has tripled its client base and doubled its team, reflecting rapid growth and increasing demand for its innovative legal AI solutions.
