February 12, 2026
In what is being called the largest harvest in CBH’s 92-year history, Western Australia’s 2025-26 crop total exceeded 24 million tonnes, topping the previous record by about 1.3 million tonnes and surpassing the 2022-23 peak.
CBH Group confirms a nationwide 2025-26 grain harvest of more than 24 million tonnes, with the Geraldton zone contributing about 4.6 million tonnes.
The Geraldton season marked the first injury-free campaign and delivered more than 80% of the harvest in under seven weeks.
Year-over-year, Geraldton’s harvest rose roughly 35% from the prior season, driven by favorable weather.
Collette Newton, CBH Geraldton zone general manager, credited early storage preparation and favorable conditions, noting extra storage was built at key sites to accommodate the crop.
The Geraldton grain terminal set a seasonal record by receiving 941,000 tonnes.
The Geraldton zone’s intake of 4.6 million tonnes surpassed the previous zone record of 3.9 million tonnes and stood about 600,000 tonnes above any earlier total.
CBH emphasizes a commitment to maintaining a high-performing supply chain as large crops become more common, reflecting statewide strength.
