2026 Jeep Wrangler Rubicon: Price Hikes and New 85th Anniversary Edition Unveiled in Australia
February 4, 2026
Australia’s 2026 Jeep Wrangler Rubicon lineup sees price hikes across both the two-door and four-door variants, with the 2-door at $81,990 and the 4-door at $84,990 before on-road costs, plus a new 85th Anniversary edition priced at $88,490 before on-road costs.
The 85th Anniversary model adds interior plaid fabric with black leather accents, bronze 85th Anniversary logo, bronze exterior accents and plaques, unique paint options like Bright White or premium two-tones, body-coloured fender flares and hard top, bronze tow hooks, blue Agave Wrangler decals, 17-inch steel oxide wheels with anniversary caps, and special swing gate decals.
Updates for 2026 include remote start, quicker door removal via new quick-release hinges, Tungsten-colored stitching on the steering wheel, a zippered bolt-storage pouch for roof/door removal, and a new Goldilocks exterior finish.
Safety remains a mix of standard features such as adaptive cruise control, autonomous emergency braking, blind-spot monitoring, rear cross-traffic alert, rearview camera, parking sensors, and airbags, while the ANCAP rating is not current due to expiry of the 2019 rating.
The lineup emphasizes dimensions, payload, towing, and extensive standard safety gear, with the note that the ANCAP rating from 2019 has expired.
Both Wrangler Rubicon models continue to feature a 12.3-inch Uconnect 5 infotainment system with wireless smartphone connectivity.
Rubicon standard equipment includes 17-inch wheels, 32-inch off-road tyres, LED headlights, proximity entry with push-button start, heated Nappa leather seats, 12-way front seats, spray-in bedliner, Trail rail system, under-rail lighting, and multiple power outlets.
Additional product specifics reinforce the 12.3-inch Uconnect 5 touchscreen and related features.
Key performance specs list a 209 kW/6400 rpm and 347 Nm/4100 rpm, fuel economy around 12.4 L/100 km, CO2 278 g/km, 83-liter fuel tank, and braked towing capacity of 2721 kg.
The Wrangler Rubicon lineup has been simplified to two variants (2- and 4-door) after last year’s reductions, with the Sport S variant dropped.
Both Rubicon models gain standard quick-release door hinges to ease open-air driving and off-road touring.
Interior updates include Tungsten-colored stitching on the steering wheel, replacing red stitching for a subtler cabin look.
