BTL 2026 Breaks Records: 85,000 Visitors and 20% International Expansion

The 2026 edition of BTL – Better Tourism Lisbon Travel Market featured 1,700 exhibitors and 125 international destinations, marking a 20% expansion in international scope and occupying five pavilions across 60,000 square meters.
Organizers emphasized the edition’s commitment to elevating offer quality, expanding business opportunities, and meeting participant expectations in future editions.
This year set a record for visitor turnout, reflecting strong engagement from both the public and industry professionals.
Dália Palma, the managing coordinator, reiterated that BTL is Portugal’s largest tourism fair and highlighted its growing national and international relevance.
The event generated multimillion-euro business volume, supported by more than 300 direct sales booths and sustained visitor demand.
BTL reinforced its international positioning, attracting more destinations, companies, and professionals from diverse markets.
The Hosted Buyers program enabled over 3,800 business meetings among more than 200 international buyers from 42 markets, with participation from over 500 companies.
