Barton Snow, the Cheltenham Festival winner trained by Joe O’Shea, is targeted at the Randox Foxhunters’ Open Hunters’ Chase at Aintree to complete the Cheltenham-Aintree double after his win at Prestbury Park.

The MMI Partnership owners influenced an earlier switch from Haydock to Cheltenham for the Walrus Open Hunters’ Chase, but the current plan remains focused on Aintree.

O’Shea said Barton Snow had a week off after Cheltenham and has been quietly trained, with a light work schedule resuming to ensure readiness for Aintree.
