Karl Stefanovic and Eddie McGuire are signing with ARN to host a new three-hour weekly radio show, The Long Weekend, airing Fridays from noon to 3pm on Gold and Nine’s streaming platforms, beginning June 19.

The Long Weekend will focus on news, sport, and entertainment and will be distributed across live radio, streaming, and video podcast formats, including 9Now and Stan.

The deal leverages McGuire’s JAM TV production company for distribution and content creation, and will include a separate sports podcast.

ARN’s share price has fallen to around a quarter of a cent, signaling investor concerns amid volatility in the network’s lineup.

The partnership with Nine comes as Nine Radio undergoes a broader reorganization of its radio assets.

The arrangement keeps Stefanovic within the Nine ecosystem, amid questions about whether he will stay on Today after his current contract ends.

Nine will stream the show on Nine platforms and also through JAM TV, providing cross-brand distribution.
