A joint AECOM and Jacobs venture has been appointed by Transport Infrastructure Ireland as the Programme Delivery Partner for MetroLink, Ireland’s high-capacity rail project connecting North County Dublin, Dublin Airport, and the city centre.

MetroLink will be Ireland’s first fully segregated metro, featuring 16 new underground stations and seamless integration with Irish Rail, DART, Luas, and BusConnects to boost connectivity and support sustainable growth.

The JV emphasizes its strong local footprint in Ireland, leveraging prior involvement in BusConnects Dublin, Galway rail upgrades, Cork light rail considerations, and East Coast Railway protection work to ensure effective delivery.

Core responsibilities include enhancing governance, managing interfaces across contracts, ensuring project transparency, supporting risk and cost/schedule certainty, and coordinating procurement for construction packages.

Completion dates and the effectiveness of the integrated delivery model will become clearer as site work advances and milestones are pursued beyond the initial contract award.
