Roland DG launched the TrueVis MG2 Series, a new UV printer/cutter lineup in two sizes, the MG2-640 (64-inch) and MG2-300 (30-inch), designed to boost productivity and profitability for print service providers.

The MG2 Series represents a new generation of UV printer/cutters, emphasizing higher value and broader capabilities.

It supports premium-value applications beyond signage, including window graphics, backlit displays, stickers, labels, packaging prototypes, promotional materials, and specialty decorative graphics.

Running costs are lowered through 1000 ml ink pouches, automated media setup and calibration, Direct Print capability, and an automatic fabric wiper to reduce maintenance.

The printers deliver high image quality with improved ink placement, Variable Dot Technology, and True Rich Color settings, with optional Orange and Red inks to expand color gamut and Pantone coverage.

Roland DG positions the MG2 as a cost-efficient platform that broadens output variety to improve efficiency, quality, and profitability for print businesses.

The MG2 Series is supported by VersaWorks 7 RIP software and Roland DG Connect for remote monitoring, production analytics, and profitability insights.

Integrated print-and-cut functionality remains core, compatible with Roland DG, Graphtec, and other cutting devices to streamline workflows.

Single-pass multi-layer printing supports up to five layers in one pass (CMYK, White, Gloss), enabling white underlays, gloss finishes, and textured effects with an integrated take-up system for unattended operation.

The MG2 Series offers 72 built-in texture libraries and an integrated take-up system, expanding applications to include window graphics, backlit displays, and decorative graphics.

The MG2 Series delivers approximately twice the productivity of the previous MG Series thanks to a new printhead and advanced waveform control, enabling faster output and reduced downtime.
