Sydney Court Hears Allegations Against Alan Jones in High-Profile Trial
September 22, 2026
The complainant, identified as H, alleges that Alan Jones touched his back and slid a hand down to rest on the top of his buttocks at a Sydney event more than five years ago, while the two stood among about 15 to 20 attendees.
The trial is ongoing in Sydney, with additional witnesses expected, including journalist Kate McClymont who is set to give evidence later.
The executive who heard the allegation spoke with McClymont after seeing coverage and later made a police statement, recounting that he felt upset when the allegations were publicized.
During cross-examination, a colleague’s memory about dates was challenged as potentially exaggerated, but she stood by her account and its vividness.
One count has been dropped by prosecutors, so a second complainant, referred to as F, is no longer participating in the trial.
The witness said there was no indication of consent and that he confided the incident to his boss and a colleague soon after it happened.
Texts between the colleague and H were reviewed, showing a serious wish for accountability, though some communications were not included in initial police statements.
A woman testifying denied exaggerating a conversation about the incident and affirmed that the details relayed by H were accurate.
The trial is in its eighth week before Judge Glenn Walsh, with Jones, now 85, maintaining his innocence on all charges.
Under cross-examination, Allan said he did not witness any inappropriate behavior toward a male athlete between 2003 and 2006.
Allan also described Jones’s demanding work regime, including hosting meals and managing household duties, during the relevant period.
The court heard from the fourth complainant, H, describing the incident and its emotional impact, with testimony continuing as the trial unfolds.
