A high-profile dispute has landed in Federal Court as Jackie O Henderson sues ARN and Commonwealth Broadcasting Corporation, alleging she was unfairly dismissed amid a breakdown in her working relationship with co-host Kyle Sandilands on the KIIS FM breakfast show.

Meanwhile, Sandilands is reported to have settled with ARN for about $12 million, to be paid over three years.

The case is set for a blockbuster trial next month, attracting significant attention in the Australian media landscape.

ARN disputes the claims, noting Henderson had insisted on confidentiality regarding fallout details, which ARN says is not evidence of liability.

Henderson argues the confidentiality assertion is illogical and has no link to ARN’s ASX disclosure, suggesting it was used to imply responsibility for damages.

Henderson is seeking at least $82 million in compensation after terminating her decade-long, $100 million contract.

ARN also disclosed that Sandilands’ conduct on February 20, 2026, was a serious breach of his services agreement with Quasar Media Services, a party in the dispute.

ARN had previously stated that Henderson gave notice to terminate her service agreement due to an inability to work with Sandilands, and that the company offered an alternative show option.

Henderson claims ARN omitted details about the psychological impact from disparaging remarks by co-hosts when informing the ASX, and she argues the omission misled investors.
