Astronomers using the James Webb Space Telescope (JWST) have observed a previously undetectable galaxy called AzTECC71.

AzTECC71, estimated to be about 900 million years old, was initially undetectable with the Hubble Space Telescope.

The discovery challenges previous assumptions about the early universe, suggesting that massive stellar nurseries like AzTECC71 could have existed in early times.

This implies that the early universe may have been dustier than believed, allowing for the evolution of star-forming galaxies.

AzTECC71 is part of the COSMOS-Web project, aiming to map up to 1 million galaxies and study the early structures of the universe.

The JWST's infrared capabilities help it penetrate through dust and gas, revealing previously hidden galaxies.

The discovery suggests that there could be many more hidden galaxies waiting to be found, and the JWST will continue its search.
