An updated catalogue of planet candidates discovered by NASA's Kepler mission has been released.

The catalogue provides new insights into the Kepler 385 system, located 4,670 light-years away, which contains seven planets larger than Earth but smaller than Neptune.

The two innermost planets in the Kepler 385 system are likely rocky with thin atmospheres, while the remaining five have thick atmospheres.

The catalogue includes almost 4,400 planet candidates and 700 multi-planet systems.

Improved measurements were used to analyze transit durations, revealing that systems with more transiting planets tend to have more circular orbits.

Although Kepler 385 is not habitable, the new catalogue contributes to a more detailed understanding of exoplanets.
