Google has unveiled new features powered by Gemini AI for Workspace users, enhancing file summarization capabilities in PDFs and Google Forms.

The summarization feature began rolling out on June 12, 2025, and will be available in over 20 languages, with full access expected by June 26, 2025.

This update is being made available to all Google Workspace users, including those on Business Standard, Enterprise Standard, Plus, and the Gemini Education plan.

Users can now receive proactive summaries as soon as they open a PDF file, streamlining their workflow significantly.

To access the summary card, users simply double-click any PDF, which opens in an overlay preview window instead of a separate browser tab.

Previously, users had to manually request summaries through the Gemini side panel, but this new update automates the process.

Users can interact with the summaries by asking questions or providing feedback, which enhances the overall user experience.

These updates focus on simplifying information retrieval through advanced PDF summarization and improved analysis of Google Forms responses.

For Google Forms, Gemini will summarize responses to short-answer questions, highlighting key themes when there are multiple replies.

Additionally, a new 'Help me create' feature in Google Forms assists users in generating forms based on descriptions and supporting documents.

This feature is designed to improve productivity for both business and educational accounts using Google Drive.

Gemini's capabilities now support over 20 languages, making it accessible to a global audience and promoting collaboration among multilingual teams.
