Sony has introduced the WH-1000XM6 headphones, aiming to compete with top brands by offering advanced noise cancellation, superior sound quality, and a suite of smart features for both audiophiles and everyday users.

The WH-1000XM6 is equipped with Sony's latest HD Noise Cancelling Processor QN3, which is seven times faster than previous models, and features twelve microphones to enhance noise cancellation and audio clarity.

Significant upgrades include improved noise cancellation, enhanced sound quality, and smart features such as Scene-based Listening, Auto Ambient Sound, and support for streaming services like Spotify and Apple Music.

For clearer calls, the headphones incorporate a six-microphone beamforming array with AI-driven voice isolation and a dedicated mute button, ensuring high call quality even in noisy environments.

Additional features include an Adaptive Noise Cancelling Optimizer, an improved Auto Ambient Sound mode, and Scene-based Listening that automatically adjusts based on environmental and activity sensing, supported by new driver units and beamforming microphones.

Audio quality is further enhanced with a high-rigidity carbon fiber dome, redesigned voice coil, support for High-Resolution Audio and LDAC, and AI-driven upscaling with DSEE Extreme, along with spatial audio features like 360 Reality Audio Upmix for Cinema.

Design improvements focus on comfort and durability, including a wider vegan leather headband, stretchable earpads for better noise sealing, and a foldable metal hinge for portability.

The WH-1000XM6 headphones were launched in India at Rs 39,990, available in Black, Platinum Silver, and Midnight Blue through various retail outlets and online platforms.

A quick three-minute charge provides around three hours of playback, and the headphones can be used while charging via USB, adding to their convenience.
