India is emerging as a key market for premium smartphones, with Snapdragon holding a 40% market share in devices priced above Rs 25,000, making it a top brand in the country.

The Snapdragon 8 Elite Gen 5 will be featured in flagship devices from global brands such as Honor, OnePlus, Samsung, Xiaomi, and others, with Xiaomi already unveiling smartphones based on this platform.

Major brands including Honor, iQOO, Nubia, OPPO, Xiaomi, Samsung, Sony, and ZTE are integrating the Snapdragon 8 Elite Gen 5 into their flagship smartphones, emphasizing its prominence in the high-end market.

The new chipset’s hexagon NPU delivers 37% higher AI performance, enabling advanced applications like real-time translation and AI-driven camera enhancements.

In addition to mobile chips, Qualcomm has introduced Snapdragon X2 Elite processors for PCs, with processing speeds up to 5 GHz and 80 TOPS neural processing units, strengthening its position in the personal computer segment.
