AP signs a June 18 agreement with Canva to provide free Canva for Education access to all public school students, teachers, and education department officials across the state.

Under the MoU, government school students will use Canva’s design and content-creation tools to make presentations, videos, infographics, and other educational content, boosting digital literacy and problem-solving.

AP becomes the first Indian state to offer statewide Canva for Education access, aiming to enhance digital learning, visual communication, and design-thinking skills.

The rollout will unfold in four phases, with privacy safeguards, role-based permissions, and teacher-controlled AI features to protect student data.

Implementation will proceed in four stages: onboarding and account setup, teacher training, classroom adoption, and full-scale deployment with monitoring and impact assessment.

This Canva initiative is part of a broader digital education strategy in Andhra Pradesh, which includes LEAP rollout, digital classroom expansion, AI-enabled tools, teacher training, and improved digital infrastructure.

SCERT will develop curriculum-aligned template libraries in Telugu and English to support Foundational Literacy and Numeracy goals and simplify digital content creation.

The Canva integration is planned with the LEAP app, Google Workspace, and school Chromebooks to create a seamless digital learning environment, subject to technical feasibility.

Teachers will be trained through a Training of Trainers model, with a focus on responsible AI use and creating a safe learning environment.

State Education Minister Nara Lokesh described the program as empowering every government school student with world-class digital tools and positioning Andhra Pradesh as a knowledge and innovation hub.

The rollout was announced on June 20, 2026, with a multi-phase plan to monitor and assess impact as implementation progresses.
