HiddenLayer Secures $100M to Expand AI Security Platform Amid Rapid Growth and High Demand
September 2, 2026
HiddenLayer is funding expansion of its enterprise AI security platform, adding Agentic Runtime Security and a new Agent Harness Security offering to secure autonomous AI coding agents in production.
The company promotes end-to-end AI-native security that continuously tests and proves trust in AI, focusing on safeguarding agents that write, review, and ship code with minimal human oversight.
Enterprise visibility into production AI agent behavior will be enhanced to detect and stop anomalous actions such as manipulation, misuse, and unauthorized activity.
Leaders including CEO Chris Sestito and investors like Delta-v Capital, Ten Eleven Ventures, Morgan Stanley, and Zheng Wang of Morgan Stanley stress the urgency of secure AI deployment and the company’s strong growth trajectory.
HiddenLayer has seen ARR grow more than tenfold in the past year, adding over 50 new platform customers across sectors including financial services, government, technology, and defense.
ARR has reached the tens of millions, with the majority of recent growth driven by new customers, including notable finance and tech clients and contracts with the DoD and intelligence community.
The platform is already powering a frontier model provider with systems serving more than 700 million weekly users, underscoring the broad relevance of AI security in large-scale deployments.
Mike Gesnaldo has been named Chief Revenue Officer as the company plans to expand channels and pursue European and broader EMEA growth, supported by continued hiring.
Funding will back international expansion, strengthen the sales organization, and grow channel partnerships as demand for AI security in regulated industries continues to rise.
HiddenLayer raised $100 million in a Series B led by Delta-v Capital, with participation from Ten Eleven Ventures, Morgan Stanley, M12, Microsoft’s venture fund, and Booz Allen Ventures to scale the platform.
The company maintains a robust patent program (39 granted, 65 pending) around adversarial detection, model protection, and AI threat analysis, and collaborates with CISA, MITRE, NIST, OWASP and OpenSSF on security governance.
Market context shows AI security spending rising, with forecasts of the market near $4.78 billion by 2028 as enterprises deploy AI tools and agents.
