Broadway's Juneteenth Concert: Stars Shine in Times Square with Free Performances from 15 Hit Shows

The Broadway League recently announced the 5th Annual Broadway Celebrates Juneteenth concert, set to take place on June 19, 2025.
This free outdoor concert will be held in Times Square from 11 a.m. to 12:30 p.m., rain or shine.
Flagstar Bank is the presenting sponsor for this year's event, which will feature performances from 15 Broadway shows, including popular titles like 'The Lion King,' 'Wicked,' and 'Moulin Rouge! The Musical.'
A diverse lineup of Broadway stars, including Blu Allen, Tia Altinay, and Tony Award winner Kara Young, will perform, with Kara co-hosting alongside Jon Michael Hill.
The concert will be enhanced by live music from The Music Performance Trust Fund and the Film Funds, providing a rich auditory experience.
The creative teams behind the concert include Director Steve H. Broadnax III and Music Director Rashad McPherson, ensuring a high-quality production.
This event is part of the Black to Broadway initiative, which has been promoting awareness and access to Broadway for the Black community since its inception in 2019.
During the concert, the 2025 Juneteenth Legacy Award will be presented to André De Shields, a Tony Award-winning actor recognized for his influential career and philanthropic efforts.
