The 71st season of the Williamstown Theatre Festival is set to run from July 17 to August 3, 2025, featuring a diverse lineup of performances and cast members.

Among the highlights, Amber Heard, Brandon Flynn, and Lío Mehiel will star in the world premiere of Jeremy O. Harris' play, 'Spirit of the People', directed by Katina Medina Mora.

This play addresses themes of environmental destruction and features half of its dialogue in Spanish, marking a significant departure for Harris as he challenges his writing capabilities.

The cast also includes notable actors such as Ato Blankson-Wood, James Cusati-Moyer, and Amandla Jahava, contributing to a diverse ensemble.

In addition to 'Spirit of the People', the festival will showcase 'The Gig: After Moise and the World of Reason', which combines Tennessee Williams' narrative with ice choreography.

A revival of Williams' 'Camino Real', directed by Dustin Wills and featuring Pamela Anderson, will explore themes of corruption and alienation.

Other productions include 'Not About Nightingales', directed by Robert O'Hara, which confronts America's prison industrial complex using Williams' early works.

The festival's programming will also feature original works like 'Many Happy Returns' and 'The Things Around Us', showcasing unique artistic interpretations.

This season introduces a new leadership structure called the Creative Collective, led by Harris and including figures like Kaia Gerber and Christopher Rudd.

The New Play Reading Series will present works such as 'White Girls Gang' by Rianna Simons and 'WORMS' by Gracie Gardner, featuring Susan Sarandon.

Weekend pass holders can access eight core projects, with single tickets available through the festival's website.

Heard, who recently welcomed twins, is returning to the stage for the first time since 2023, showcasing her continued presence in the industry.
