Moulin Rouge! Extends London Run to 2026; New Sunday Shows and Cast Shake-Up Announced
June 23, 2025
Moulin Rouge! The Musical has extended its run at the Piccadilly Theatre in London until February 21, 2026, with additional Sunday performances starting from December 28, 2025.
This vibrant production is based on Baz Luhrmann's iconic film, reimagined for the stage with a modern twist.
Set in Paris in 1899, the story follows the lovesick writer Christian and Satine, the star of the Moulin Rouge nightclub.
Their romance faces challenges from Harold Zidler, the nightclub's host, and The Duke of Monroth, a wealthy patron who desires Satine.
In a bid to save the Moulin Rouge and win Satine's heart, Christian, along with his Bohemian friends, stages a musical extravaganza.
The current cast features Natalie Kassanga as Satine and Dom Simpson as Christian, supported by an ensemble including Craig Ryder and Dex Lee.
Dom Simpson will depart from the production on October 11, 2025, leading to an anticipated new cast announcement.
Directed by Alex Timbers, the musical includes a book by John Logan and music supervision by Justin Levine.
Recently, the production celebrated a significant milestone by welcoming its 10 millionth visitor worldwide.
A new tour of Moulin Rouge! The Musical is also currently underway in the UK, with a show opening at the Bristol Hippodrome on June 26, 2025.
Tickets for this new booking period became available for purchase on June 20, 2025.
The production invites audiences into a world of romance and spectacle, where dreams come true.
