Foreigner’s manager, Phil Carson, highlighted the collaboration with LIU’s talent and expressed pride in bringing new life to the band’s music through this theatrical format.

Jones expressed pride in seeing their song evolve into a musical, celebrating the band’s milestone anniversary.

The world premiere of the musical is scheduled for April 17-26, 2026, at the Little Theatre on LIU’s campus.

Carson also emphasized that this partnership offers a unique opportunity to celebrate Foreigner’s music in a fresh and exciting way.

A special benefit concert featuring Foreigner, hosted by original lead singer Lou Gramm, will take place on September 5, 2025, at the Tilles Center.

Legendary rock band Foreigner is teaming up with Long Island University’s Post Theatre Company and the Tilles Center to create a new musical titled 'Feels Like The First Time: The Foreigner Musical,' set to debut in April 2026.

This project marks the launch of the Tilles Center’s New Works Initiative, which aims to develop original stage productions.

The musical will be directed by Broadway veteran Adam Pascal, who is also LIU’s first-ever Artist-in-Residence, and will feature 14 of Foreigner’s most popular songs.

Mick Jones, Foreigner’s founding member, noted the significance of having their hit song 'Feels Like The First Time' as the musical’s title, aligning with the band’s upcoming 50th anniversary in 2026.
