August 13, 2025
Foreigner is set to extend their orchestral tour into 2026 with a special five-night residency at The Venetian Theatre in Las Vegas from March 6-14, celebrating their 50th anniversary with the 'Foreigner: The Hits Orchestral' show, featuring their greatest hits backed by a 20-piece orchestra.
The orchestral arrangements are crafted by Juilliard cellist Dave Eggar, known for collaborations with artists like Coldplay, Paul Simon, and Beyoncé, and conducted by Chuck Palmer.
Fans can purchase tickets through the band's official website, which also provides full tour details, with fan club members receiving early access via pre-sale.
In addition to touring, Foreigner will release a super-deluxe edition of their 1981 album '4' on September 12, featuring remastered audio and bonus content to mark the milestone.
Foreigner's interest in orchestral performances began in 2017 during a show in Switzerland with the 21st Century Symphony Orchestra & Chorus, leading to a PBS TV special and international tours, including a sold-out concert at the Sydney Opera House.
The band’s current lineup includes lead vocalist Luis Carlos Maldonado, bassist Jeff Pilson, keyboardist Michael Bluestein, guitarist Bruce Watson, and drummer Chris Frazier.
Foreigner is currently performing farewell shows through November 2025 with lead singer Kelly Hansen, after which new frontman Luis Maldonado will take over for future performances.
The band's recent tour dates from August to November 2025 have spanned various U.S. states and Canadian venues, including notable locations like Atlantic City and Casino Rama.
The band’s orchestral performances have historically influenced rock radio with hits from the '70s and '80s, adding a rich layer to their legacy.
The upcoming tour aims to provide fans with a unique experience of their most popular hits performed with a full orchestra, celebrating the band's musical evolution and legacy.
Foreigner's orchestral reinterpretations and milestone anniversary celebrations underscore their ongoing influence and innovative approach to their classic sound.
