The National Theatre is kicking off its 2025/26 season with a free, all-day outdoor event on September 1, 2025, from 14:00 to 22:00 at Střelecký Island in Prague.

The event, known as the National Open Air Festival, will showcase performances by all of the theatre's artistic ensembles, including dance and vocal acts.

Attendees can explore a dedicated zone featuring sustainable fashion, a book and poster stall, promotional materials, a photo booth, and ticket sales.

Visitors will enjoy refreshments, socializing, and participating in various cultural activities throughout the day, culminating in an evening concert.

The festival offers activities such as creative workshops, a children's zone, meet-and-greets with performers, and a charity bazaar with clothes donated by theatre artists.

Entrance to the event is completely free, with the detailed schedule to be announced later; a full program will be available online.
