The popular Andrew Lloyd Webber musical 'Starlight Express' has extended its run at the Troubadour Wembley Park Theatre until April 2026, marking its sixth extension in London, with the show originally opening in 2024 and receiving critical acclaim, including seven What’s On Stage Awards.

A new official piano/vocal book featuring 17 songs from the London production, including the new songs 'I Do' and 'I Am Me,' has been published by Hal Leonard, offering both classic and contemporary tracks.

The production is directed by Luke Sheppard, with a creative team that includes designer Tim Hatley, costume designer Gabriella Slade, choreographer Ashley Nottingham, and features music by Andrew Lloyd Webber with lyrics by Richard Stilgoe.

Having been seen by over 30 million people worldwide, 'Starlight Express' features iconic songs such as 'Make Up My Heart,' 'Light at the End of the Tunnel,' and new compositions like 'I Do' and 'I Am Me.'

The cast includes award-winners like Jeevan Braich as Rusty, Jade Marvin as Momma McCoy, and Olivia Ringrose as Greaseball, with Jeevan Braich returning after an injury to Gavin Adams.

The show is performed on custom-built tracks above the audience, with a production that features a cast of 40 performers and includes iconic songs by AC/DC alongside original compositions.

Meanwhile, a new theatre is under construction in Canary Wharf, set to open in October with the world premiere of 'The Hunger Games on Stage,' indicating ongoing growth in London's theatre scene.

The Troubadour Wembley Park Theatre is located on a site slated for redevelopment into Fulton Quarter, which could impact the show's future location.
