The French musical 'Molière' will be performed at Shenzhen Poly Theater from October 16 to 19, featuring six shows that blend rap, urban music, and modern dance to depict the life of the legendary 17th-century playwright.

Written and composed by Dove Attia, the musical draws inspiration from Broadway's 'Hamilton' and incorporates contemporary costumes and styling while staying true to historical details.

The production explores Molière's transformation from a royal interior decorator to a revolutionary figure in theater, highlighting his classic works like 'Tartuffe' and 'The Miser,' as well as his personal relationships, including his friendship with Louis XIV.

With striking visuals and energetic performances, the show aims to reimagine Molière's legacy, offering a modern homage to France's cultural history that appeals to both traditional and contemporary audiences.

Since debuting in Paris in 2023, 'Molière' has toured across France with over 160 performances and attracted more than half a million spectators, earning seven awards at the 2024 French Musical Theater Awards, including Best Musical.
