One-year-old Ivy Mae Ross was fatally struck by a Land Rover in a church car park in Balmedie, Aberdeenshire.

The accident occurred at 7.45pm on Wednesday; the driver, a 40-year-old man, was not injured.

Ivy Mae's parents have requested privacy, thanking the community and emergency services for their support.

Police Scotland is conducting an investigation and appeals to the public for information, referencing incident number 3390 of May 15.

The local church is offering support to those impacted and has thanked first responders for their service.
