The 2026 On The Waterfront Festival in Liverpool will be held from June 18 to June 21 at Pier Head, marking its fifth edition and featuring a lineup of prominent acts, including Snow Patrol as the headliner for the final night.

Snow Patrol, one of the most successful alternative rock bands of the last three decades, will headline the festival's closing night, performing on June 21, 2026, with their latest album 'The Forest Is the Path' reaching number one in the UK.

The festival will showcase other local acts such as Liverpudlian indie-rock band Circa Waves and the dream pop trio Sunday (1994), set against the scenic backdrop of Liverpool’s Three Graces and the River Mersey.

Tickets for the event will go on presale at 9 a.m. on October 9, with general sales starting at 9 a.m. on October 10, with prices beginning at £58.50 and age restrictions of 14 and above.

The event is accessible via Liverpool One Bus Station and nearby Merseyrail stations, with performances scheduled from 5 p.m. to 11 p.m. each day.

Frontman Gary Lightbody expressed excitement about returning to Liverpool, emphasizing the band's desire to revisit places where they haven't played in a while.

The festival will take place outdoors at Pier Head, in front of the iconic Three Graces, offering a memorable cultural experience for attendees.

This event follows a series of notable headliners, with Sting closing the 2025 festival, which also featured acts like The Wombats, The Wolfetones, and Cream Classical Ibiza.

During the 2025 festival, Liverpool band The Christians had to end their performance early after drummer Lionel Duke suffered a heart attack, but he has since recovered and rejoined the band.

Sting showed support for The Christians by delaying his set and inviting them to his upcoming London concert, highlighting the camaraderie among artists at the festival.

Lionel Duke was rushed to hospital but made a full recovery, and medics quickly attended to him during the 2025 festival, saving his life.

The festival is organized by Cream and has become a major summer event in Merseyside, drawing large crowds for its diverse lineup and scenic setting.
