The upcoming David Galloway Annual Education Lecture will feature a distinguished panel of MPs, educators, and researchers, including Mary Foy MP, Dr. Xiaofei Qi, and Dr. Johny Daniel, to discuss issues surrounding special educational needs and disabilities (SEND).

This lecture aims to address challenges in SEND support, focusing on early intervention, inclusive education, and teacher development, with insights from experts and academics from Durham University.

A recent report titled 'Solving the SEND crisis', published by the Education Select Committee in September, calls for a comprehensive overhaul of SEND services, emphasizing the need for cultural change and increased funding to foster more inclusive mainstream education.

The report advocates for systemic reforms to better support children with SEND, highlighting that significant investment and a shift in educational culture are essential for meaningful progress.
