Record-Breaking TCS Mini London Marathon Unites Young Athletes with Celebrity Support

The TCS Mini London Marathon championships kicked off the day as the curtain-raiser, drawing more than 1,500 top young and para-athletes from across the UK, with a first-time U12 participation.
The event showcased inclusivity and inspiration, highlighted by Dylan Valavan’s story of resilience and family-friendly activities in the Fan Zone featuring Peppa Pig and Daddy Pig.
In the daytime runs, over 18,000 children and young people took part under clear skies, with memorable moments like Dylan Valavan’s headstand at the Finish Line and a message of perseverance.
Participants under 18 earned £10 per finisher for their schools from TCS, to be invested in PE or IT equipment, reinforcing support for school sport and technology funding.
The schools program registration remains open through May 1, 2026, with more than 588,000 children already registered for the TCS Mini London Marathon in schools.
Poppy Guest of the South East defended her Under-16 title, underscoring the competitive field and the excitement of the junior races.
Celebrity and athlete appearances, including Joe Wicks, Sifan Hassan, Jodie Ounsley, Jake Wightman, David Weir, and Eden Rainbow-Cooper, energized participants and spectators.
The 2026 TCS Mini London Marathon set a record with 19,645 participants across one-mile and 2.6K distances, staged in London a day before the main marathon.
