Jerry West, at 85, has been elected to the Naismith Basketball Hall of Fame for a third time, now as a contributor.

West's prior Hall of Fame inductions were for his achievements as a player and as a member of the 1960 U.S. Olympic team.

His latest honor recognizes his executive roles, including general manager for the Lakers and Grizzlies and consultant for the Warriors and Clippers.

West has accumulated a total of nine championship rings across his various roles in the sport.

He has achieved entry into the Hall of Fame in three out of five possible categories: player, contributor, and coach.

West's legacy includes a storied playing career with numerous individual accolades and being the inspiration for the NBA's logo.
