The case centers on 60-year-old registered Level 3 sex offender Mark Sullivan, who is facing 69 new charges in Boston over alleged recordings of children at Frog Pond, with victims ages roughly 2 to 8.

Authorities say Sullivan appeared in Boston Municipal Court on the 69 additional charges, with the arraignment proceedings moving to a court date scheduled for Friday.

prosecutors allege he made more than 40 videos, about 26 or 28 of which were filmed at the Frog Pond, using camera sunglasses and a cell phone.

The charges identify approximately 15 victims aged 2 to 8 linked to the Frog Pond and other locations in Boston.

The Suffolk District Attorney’s office notes that the 69 new charges come from more than just the August 14 incident, signaling an ongoing investigation into additional victims and timestamps.

The case is prosecuted by the Suffolk District Attorney’s Office, with information drawn from court records and statements released by the DA.

Sullivan has a lengthy criminal history, including 10 prior convictions related to child sex offenses since 1999, and a 2009 Plymouth County sentence of 10 to 15 years for possession of child pornography.

Officials note Sullivan has not worked since 2007, and his attorney highlights the long history of offenses involving inappropriate images of children.

Sullivan appeared in court for the new charges, with his arraignment initially set but postponed to Friday.

Police recovered Sullivan’s glasses and cellphone, and he is identified as a Level 3 registered sex offender; there were initial claims he was assaulted prior to the arrest.

Witnesses reported that the glasses were used to record a family changing their children, and he followed the family as they moved, scanning children with the device.

Sullivan has been held on bail of $250,000 since his initial Aug. 18 arrest stemming from the Aug. 14 incident.
