June 21, 2025
The new fund has successfully raised over $50 million in its initial closing, backed by a mix of family offices, financial institutions, and notable individual investors, including Kanwaljit Singh and Bharat Shah.
With a focus on fostering young entrepreneurs, Campus Fund evaluates approximately 7,000 startups annually through a network of over 100 student scouts.
The fund aims to invest in 60 to 80 startups over the next four years, with initial investments ranging from ₹1 crore to ₹8 crore per startup, while reserving about half of the fund for follow-on investments.
This initiative has garnered support from various industry figures and financial institutions, establishing Campus Fund as a leading early-stage investor in youth-driven innovation in India.
Richa Bajpai emphasized her commitment to empowering student entrepreneurs, stating that significant startups can emerge from anywhere in India, not just major tech hubs.
The first two early-stage investments from this new fund include a venture called Serendipity Space, which focuses on processing pharmaceutical compounds in space.
Campus Fund has already committed over 50% of its latest fund and has begun deploying capital, having finalized two investments so far.
Campus Fund, a venture capital firm dedicated to supporting startups led by students and college dropouts, has announced the launch of its largest fund to date, a $100 million third fund.
Founded in 2020 by Richa Bajpai as a thesis project at London Business School, Campus Fund targets founders who are currently in university, have dropped out, or graduated within the last three years.
The fund's portfolio includes successful startups such as Digantara, Sama, EtherealX, and GreenGrahi, many of which have attracted further investments from major firms.
By positioning itself as a key player in fostering young entrepreneurs, Campus Fund aims to shape the future of various industries.
Richa Bajpai described this initiative as a significant moment in her entrepreneurial journey, which began in her final year of engineering.
