This acquisition represents Bending Spoons’ largest purchase to date and aligns with its private equity–style approach of acquiring, restructuring, and integrating digital businesses.

The deal follows Bending Spoons’ Nasdaq listing on July 1, 2026, after earlier buys of AOL in January and Eventbrite in March, and is expected to close later in the year after regulatory approvals.

Bending Spoons will acquire Airtable for about $1.28 billion in cash, valuing Airtable at roughly $2.25 billion based on net cash and equivalents, marking its first deal since going public.

Until closing, Airtable and Bending Spoons will operate independently, with both boards unanimously approving the transaction.

Airtable, founded in 2013, combines spreadsheet and database features to enable no-code app building and currently reports about $480 million in annual recurring revenue as of June 2026.

Regulatory approvals and customary closing conditions are anticipated before the deal completes later this year.
